Took me a little while to write this post. Annabelle's birthday post.
But here goes. Better late than never.
My Annabelle turned six years old two weeks ago.
It's true, she did.
I don't know how on Earth this is possible.
She is my little lady these days.
Couldn't ask for more.
She is SO funny.
And smart and witty.
Oh but can she ever give that look. That look.
But most of the time she is peaches. She blows my mind. I can't believe that we have been so blessed. We are so lucky. She is my joy and my pride.
I feel like I am repeating myself every time I write or talk about her but I can't help it.
She just is my pride and joy. And I will repeatedly go on and on about it.
She is such a thinker and a dreamer. She always has such great ideas and plans. And her face lights up every single time she starts to explain it all.
Turning six has brought with it a whole new side of Annabelle. I am discovering more and more of her everyday.
Such as:
She can now ride her bike without training wheels. Really fast.
She loves Justin Bieber. Even though she only get's to listen to him sometimes on the computer with headphones on.
She has decided she is done being my good sleeper and must get up out of bed or yell my name at least 5 times a night.
To tell me that she hears a noise. She's scared. Or she's thirsty. But mostly its to tell me she's lonely and it's no fair that the boys get to share a room and she has no one to share her room with.
We do this every night.
She is a very good artist with a great eye.
She loves Lalaloopsy dolls.
She is turning into a total jokester. It's great. And she has Lucy worthy funny faces.
She loves Jesus.
She loves the Disney Princesses.
And Barbies.
She has a way with animals.
She loves to bake.
She is so so sweet. She would give away the clothes off her back if it made another person happy. This kindness just comes natural to her without any hesitation or second thought.
Except maybe when it comes to her brothers. HA! Just kidding. She is even like that with them most of the time.
One thing that I see the most though is
The young lady that she is becoming.
Sometimes I want to put on the brakes and say "Stop! You stop that growing! I did not say you could grow so fast and I can't keep up!"
I want to tell her to hold on a minute. That I need her to be in the now just a tiny tad bit longer.
Keep holding my hand.
Laugh at my jokes.
Bake cookies with me.
These last six years have gone by in the blink of an eye.
And in another six years that are sure to go by at equal amounts of warp speed she will be 12.
And these things might not still be happening.
But she will always be my best girl.
And my best friend.
And I do love watching her grow.
She brings such joy to this world. And all that joy will continue to grow right along with her..
Annabelle Tuesday is six years old. And reaching such great heights.
And also she is super funny.
I love you Annabelle. Happy birthday baby.
